About Ingredients: When it comes to your health and excellent flavor nothing can replace the highest quality ingredients and fresh organic produce. If you can grown some of these in your own garden that is always preferred. The second best option is to visit your local farmer’s market and shop for recently picked organic produce. If that is unavailable, then buy organic from your local health food store or grocery store. If you have difficulty finding any of these ingredients, there are now many websites that carry high quality products and organic produce that will ship right to your door. The flavor and availability of fresh produce will always vary, so once you combine the base ingredients; have fun tinkering with it to get the flavor just right for you each time.
Anahata’s SECRET Energy Soup Recipe
Put the following ingredients in a high speed blender and puree until creamy:
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup flax or cold pressed olive oil
- 1 cup filtered water
- Handful of Dulse sea vegetables or dulse flakes
- 1 raw untoasted nori sheet torn into smaller pieces
- 1-2 medium tomatoes quartered
- 1 1/2 cups fresh raw spinach leaves
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 medium peeled cucumber
- 1 1/2 cups fresh basil or cilantro (or a mix of both)
- ½ cup raw hemp seeds or raw pine nuts
- 1 tsp sea salt or Himalayan salt
- ½ hot chili pepper or cayenne powder to taste
Other Optional Flavor-Enhancing Ingredients:
- 2-4 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes (presoaked 20 minutes)
- 1 green onion
- 1 red pepper cored & peeled
- 1 cored apple
- 1 tsp Spirulina powder
Pour in bowl and serve with some of your favorite toppings:
- Cubed avocado
- Spirulina powder
- Dulse granules
- Chopped tomato
- Chopped basil
- Chopped parsley
- Minced onion
- Chives/Green onion
- Nori Sheet pieces
